Quest: Journey through the Lifespan

Throughout 2019, I worked on Quest: Journey through the Lifespan.  Quest is a 3D person, point and click adventure game with the goal of giving users glimpses at characters at different points of life. Ultimately, this game is intended to be played during a Psychology course and it's content mirrors the textbook for said course.

Quest was an ambitious project, featuring 14 different chapters that spanned different characters, environments, and scenarios.  Most significantly, its target platform was WebGL.  PC, Mac, iOS, and Android were also secondary targets, but the game needed to load quickly and run well in a web browser.  This is because Gear built a dashboard Learning Tools Interoperability system that allowed professors to assign content from the game to students, and the game would report back their progress. Additionally, the game has extensive accessibility features to support many different types of players.

The majority of my work on Quest involved quest implementation, build architecture and pipeline management, project optimization, and work on the back end data collection systems that drove the LTI functionality.
