Fair Play K12

From mid 2018 through the end of the year, I worked on a prototype of what would later become Fair Play K12.  This was built for the team that developed the original Fair Play game - a game about implicit bias.  Our goal with K12 was to try to push the design of the first game further, and to target K12 teachers as the intended audience for this game.

I was the sole developer on this project and worked with the team of 3D artists to realize the prototype.  This project was one of the first where we utilized the Bolt scripting engine for Unity. Bolt is a very power scripting tool, but lacks a really solid interface with whats happening in Unity scenes right out of the box.  So, one of the main features I developed for K12 was a Quest system that worked in tandem with Bolt's Flow and State graphs. This leveraged the power and flexibility of Bolt, but still allowed us to use many of our internal libraries and tools that were developed for other games.
