Chortopia

I got involved with Chortopia as part of helping launch a startup studio - Aurasync. The Chortopia team consisted of industry veterans from LGN and Raven and was focused on trying to come up with a game for helping parents gamify chores.

Development took place during my free time over the course of 8 months leading up to the games release in the Summer of 2016 on iOS. I served as Technical Lead over the course of development and focused on the main Advenchore loop. Parents are able to assign chores for their kids that have been wrapped in a colorful and fun story experience. When the kids finish their chores, they are rewarded with the next step of the story.

Working on the project was pretty straight forward. The scope of the project was kept small, since most of us were working on it in our free time. Most of the work on the technical side focused on building systems that were expandable should the game need to grow quickly. Overall, I spent somewhere around 200 hours developing Chortopia.
